Main Listing

Races: Total Qualifying races (post 9/1/2021 and 12-horse only)
W%: Winning Percentage in those qualifying races
eBA: Expected Base Base Ability based on the BA of the horses parents/corresponding breeding algo
BA: A horse’s Base Ability score 0-100 (normalized mean speed at 1600m). Calculated via a combination of 1600m, 1400-1800m, and extreme distances.
DP: A horse’s Distance Preference, displayed on -100 (strongest sprint) to 100 (strongest marathon) with 0 equaling no distance preference. Distance preference measures the strength of “tilt” in you mean speed and therefor measures the difference in your mean speeds in the short funnel vs the long funnel.
VAR: A horse’s Variance, displayed on a 0-100 scale measuring the standard deviation in normalized race times.
Z: This is the horse’s Zedge score, a “breeding score” that represents how a horse’s foals’ traits have compared to the expectation based on the 2.0 breeding algo, ignoring ancestor pulls.
Parents: The BA, DP, and VAR scores for the horse’s parents.
Sales Price: A horse’s listed price on Hawku, hyperlinked to Hawku. A red price represents a horse that is in decay.
Stud Price: A horse’s stud fee. hyperlinked to select-a-mate page in ZED. A red price represents a horse that is in decay.
Trait Details

Base Ability Metrics
Score: The horse’s BA score (same as found in the main listing)
wBA: The race sample contributing to the horse’s BA score. It’s a sum of the 3 BA race counts listed below it. 1600m race count + the lesser of 1400 and 1800 race counts + the lesser of the 1000/1200 and 2200+ race counts.
16#: 1600m race count
1418#: The lesser race count of 1400m and 1800m.
1026# The lesser race count of the horse’s 1000/1200m and 2200m+
16BA: Base Ability score based only on 1600m data
1418BA: A Base Ability calculation by averaging 1400 and 1800m data
DPBA: A Base Ability calculation using extreme distance data
Distance Preference Metrics
Score: The horse’s DP score (same as found in the main listing)
wDP: The race count sample for the DP metric. Represents the lesser race total between the short and long funnel.
Short#: Race total in the short funnel
Long#: Race total in the long funnel
sAB: The horse’s Short Ability, average mean speed in the short funnel displayed in 0-100 scale
lAB: The horse’s Long Ability, average mean speed in the long funnel displayed in 0-100 scale
fDP: A weighted flame rate difference between the short and long funnel. On the -100 to 100 DP scale.
Variance Metrics
Score: The horse’s VAR score (same as found in the main listing)
wVAR: The race count contributing to the horse’s variance score. More or less your total races but removes distances with only 1 race.
Wins: Win total in qualifying races
Ave MoV: Average Margin of Victory in seconds in wins
Max MoV: The largest margin of victory in seconds
1/12%: Percentage of finishes in the 1st or 12th position
Race Ability

The Race Ability chart shows a horses Ability (normalized mean speed on a 0-100 scale) at each of the 9 distances. The score is in the bolded white. The race count is in parenthesis/italics.
Breeding Ability

Decay Level: The current decay level of the horse
#OS: This is the number of 2.0 offspring that qualify for that trait. To qualify, both the parents and the offspring must meet the minimum race sample to set an expectation and a result. A single Offspring may qualify for 0, 1, 2, or all 3 traits, depending where it’s race sample falls.
O zScores: This is the z-score of the offspring expected traits vs the actual. It measures how many standard deviations from the mean expectation the actual performance lies. + is overperformance, – is underperformance.
O eScores: This the average expected Offspring trait score derived by putting the horse and its mating partners into the breeding 2.0 algo.
O scores: This is the actual average trait score of the qualifying offspring
Zedge: This is a weighted average of the 3 trait z-scores, representing an overall “breeding ability” score.
Offspring

Total OS: The horse’s total number of offspring
2.0 OS: The horse’s number of 2.0 offspring
The rest of the offspring listings follow the same pattern as the main listings.
